U. S. History: Progressive Era

Numerous economic and social problems were brought about by the rapid industrialization in the United States following the Civil War.  Progressives viewed government as a tool for change and believed reform was needed.  Poverty, violence, greed, racism, corruption and class warfare were all seen as areas that needed to be reformed.

Ultimately, your goal once you have completed extensive research is to write a script and produce a collaborative multimedia presentation using Office Mix. Videos, primary source images, and narration must be included.

Learning Target

Analyze specific ways Progressives sought to reform society, the changes implemented by each group and the success of the various changes.
