Outsiders Research: Home

Directions

As you read S.E. Hinton’s, The Outsiders, you will be challenged to think about what it means to be an “outsider”.  Other ways we might refer to “outsiders” are “rebels, dreamers, outliers, and/or innovators.” We have created a short list of examples of persons that we believe may have felt like “outsiders” or been considered “rebels or outliers” at some point in their lifetime. Your job is to research a person of your choice and write a three part essay about them. Your essay will be 3 paragraphs; the paragraphs should flow with transitional sentences and ideas.
