Globalization Final - Modern World History: 2. Economic & Cultural Globalization

Project Overview

You will follow the making of a T-shirt and research exports from a country of your choosing to see how economics and cultural movements can impact globalization. Exports from your country can be specific art forms, music, food, holidays, films, fashion, economic, etc. Your final product will be a presentation (Canva presentation, WeVideo, etc.) of your research.

 

Project Dates

Your final has two parts:

  • Part 1: Research, due end of day Friday, 5/16 (submit Google Doc to Canvas)
  • Part 2: Final product, due end of day Sunday, 5/18 (submit project link to Canvas)
    • Assignment will close at end of day Tuesday, 5/20

If you use your time wisely in class, you have plenty of time to do the required tasks.

**Due dates are the same for every Modern World History class!**

Part I: Research

You MUST use the databases listed below to find your research!

Part II: Final Product

Compile your research about a country's exports into a presentation. You will use the information from your notes page as well as artifacts and images to tell the story of how certain cultural exports became part of American Culture.

Make sure to include:

  • at least three major imports to the US​​​​​​
  •  the differences and similarities between the original cultural element, and how it has changed since coming to this country
  • visuals to support your research
  • one American export

Creative options:

  • WE Video
  • Canva presentation
  • Another presentation method of your choice

**Your presentation must include narration!**
