Web App and Holds
When a patron searches the Web App for a book, the results will show 0 availability if the book has a hold. The book may be on the shelf if the hold has not been filled yet. The Web App results consider the hold when showing how many copies are available. Thanks, PSM, for this ticket so I could share the information with others!
Trial Databases - Remove from Library Website
Please remove the trial database links from your library web pages. The database trials have ended. Some students love the trials so much they are continuing to try to access and reaching out to IT for assistance.

Getting everything ready for discards? Feel free to send me the Excel file instead of going through the rather long directions to discard items.
Self Check Idea
BVN has an ongoing project to place stickers over the ISBN barcodes on books. This will direct students to the BV barcode - hopefully - for self-checkout. (Great project for subs, student aides, parent volunteers.)
Dictionary.com
Sad news - dictionary.com is not available to students in the district. Short story - it has new ads that promote inappropriate business transactions. If you would like more details, please contact me by phone. I am not putting anything in writing.
