Intro to Folk Music: Crankie Assignment

Crankie Criteria

Frame #1 The first frame  of your Crankie needs to include following information:

1. Title of your song
2. Is your song traditional or contemporary?  What type of folk song is it?  Protest, play party, work song, ballad, spiritual, blues, tejana?
3. What time period or event does your folk song come from?

Frames in-between will include your story and song.

Last Frame – The end of your Crankie should include “THE END” and each group member’s First name and Last initial.

Materials for Crankies:

White paper for background.

We have markers.
