Humors imbalance (too much blood, yellow bile, etc.)
Leprosy
Dysentery
Malaria
Typhoid
Smallpox
St Anthony’s Fire
Toothache, broken bone, or other injuries and wounds
Scurvy
Create a “Patient Profile” Page:
Name, age, occupation
Symptoms they’re experiencing
How they got sick or injured (based on medieval knowledge)
Which medieval healer they’re visiting (monk, barber-surgeon, wise woman, etc.) *different classes would have received different medical assistance.
Diagnosis & Treatment Plan:
What the medieval healer believes is wrong (e.g., “an imbalance of the black bile”)
Suggested treatments (bloodletting, leeches, herbal remedies, prayers, charms, surgery, etc.)
Include some real (and bizarre!) treatments for fun
A creative patient file folder, poster, or journal page
