Let's Discover the Theme of Wrinkle in Time

You will be working in groups to discover the theme of "A Wrinkle in Time".  

When working with your group remember:

Be active and engaged.

Stay on task.

Be a good listener.

Each person needs to share an idea.

 

You have 5 points - to keep your five points, you must be following these guidelines.

Activity #1

With your table group answer the following questions on the chart paper and be prepared to share out!

  • What did the characters learn in Wrinkle in Time?
  • How did the characters grow and change in the story?
  • Why did the characters act the way they acted?
  • What's different at the end of the story?
  • What stays with you after the story?

Activity #2

Based on the answers to the five questions, list 3-5 possible themes on chart paper.  Be ready to share your group thoughts on the themes with the class.
