Research - All the Things: MLA and APA Format

Research: All The Things Home > MLA and APA Format

Formats

MLA and APA are the most common writing formats.  Noodletools will cite sources in the chosen format and provide details about how to in-text cite in the correct format as well.

MLA - ELA classes

APA - Science and some Social Studies classes

Other - Check with your teacher.

What is the difference and why?

MLA and APA are both great formats for writing your paper and citing sources.  They have slight differences, but both accomplish providing the reader with a clear paper that provides credit to other sources.

When you are in Noodletools, set up a new project and choose the citation style.  See the Noodletools section for more details.
