You will perform quality research on your specific Macbeth topic. This research will culminate in a formal research paper that includes a thesis, embedded quotes, proper in-text citations, a Works Cited page, etc.

You are not simply stating information you would find in a Wikipedia search. In other words: you are going beyond the basics.

Research Requirements:

• You will use a minimum of 4 sources, with at least 2 sources being from a database.
• Sources must be non-encyclopedia (meaning no Encyclopedia Britannica, History.com, etc.). Your goal is to do a deeper-dive in your research instead of surface-level information.
• For each source, use the "Quality Checklist for Sources" document to evaluate it and ensure it is giving quality information for your paper. This is especially important for web sources!
• For a web source, use the infographic located on this LibGuide to help you decide if it is a quality source.
• Use NoodleTools to help compile your sources. This will make creating your Works Cited page much easier. You can also use the notecard feature within NT to help organize your research/thoughts.
