World History: Home

Course Description

Students study modern western civilizations, primarily European, dating from the Renaissance to the present. Emphasis is placed on the use of important concepts from political science, economics, geography and sociology. Students demonstrate knowledge of the development of the modern western world and apply their knowledge to understand current world affairs. Students participate in simulations emphasizing international issues or concepts. Students also use a wide range of historical sources in their studies. This course fulfills the World History requirementfor graduation.
