TikTok Requirements

You will create a TikTok-style video in Canva to present your researched information over your endangered species. Here is what you must include in your video:

  • 60 seconds or less
  • Name and scientific name of animal plus picture on opening screen (you don't need to say the scientific name in your narration)
  • All researched information
  • At least five good quality photos corresponding to the information (FYI - Canva will probably have a lot of images of your animal)
  • At least three fun graphics, stickers, filters, memes, gifs, etc.
  • Narration is a must!
    • You don't have to appear in your TikTok. If you aren't sure how to turn the video off when you go to record, ask a librarian for help.
    • To record narration in Canva: Click "Uploads" > Click "Record Yourself" (you might have to allow Canva to access your mic and camera)
  • Background music is optional (if you use music, make sure it doesn't overshadow your narration and that it is appropriate to your presentation)
    • To add music in Canva: Click "Apps" > Click "Audio" (the music notes icon). Make sure to adjust the volume of the music so it doesn't overshadow your narration.
  • Works Cited as last image
