How to Find a Scholarly Source in a Database: Two Options

Option 1
In a database, go to ADVANCED SEARCH.

Locate Search Limiters.

Choose Full Text and Peer Reviewed Articles.  It may also be called Academic Journals or Scholarly Journals.

Search for articles.

Option 2

Conduct your search in the search bar.

Once you see search results, look for search limiters int he sidebar.

Specific information about scientific topis includes academic journal. Choose Browse to help pick a topic of interest.
Academic Search Premier Ebscohost This link opens in a new window
Contains a variety of resources all in one place - magazines, academic journals, popular newspapers and more.
U.S. Newsstream - Proquest This link opens in a new window
Database of news articles.
Science Direct This link opens in a new window
Open source (free) database of scholarly journals. No password required. If you cannot access an article, it is not open source and we are unable to access it.
