Happy, Happy Friday! We hope you had a great week!
Announcements:
Admin Meeting Feedback: Please complete the form before Sept 22.

Billing: Please do not place a charge in Accessit on Fridays at this time. There is a glitch at the moment on the Friday sync to Synergy. Reach out to Becca if you have questions.
Weeding/Titlewise/Accessit: As the Discard pick up date gets closer, we often get questions about running a new collection analysis in Titlewise with hopes of new results. Many are hopeful that the age of their collection improves.
Often, there is disappointment in finding out that the average age did not adjust. If you have a large collection - over 10,000 copies - it takes a lot of weeding to impact the age.
If interested in those numbers of how many books you need to remove before making a dent in the average age, click here to view a spreadsheet where you can enter your data and see the results.

Make sure you have updated your Libguide (Secondary) or Dashboard (Elementary) with this year's databases. Double-check the databases work from home. Please put in a BV Care ticket if you are having issues with your databases.
Reminders:
Please remove World Book - it is no longer purchased by the district.
If you have the generic link to state databases, make sure the link still works. They updated the link to the main page - https://library.ks.gov/statewide-resources .
Click here for additional database information.
Also, check your school's database spreadsheet. As updates are made each year, I adjust for your building. This link was sent at the beginning of the year with Accessit login information. If you can't find it, put in a BV Care ticket, and I can send you the link - no worries.
PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next (Elementary): Promote PebbleGo to help elementary students avoid open web searching in Google. See the link below for a PebbleGo poster to use with your staff - print for staff mailboxes, place in library staff newsletters, post in staff bathrooms.

- Using Legos, clay, and other supplies, students create a stop-motion video.
- Set up the iPad in a location to analyze change or patterns - choose the intervals of photos; make it into a video.
