Kiosk App
Several users have reported that the Kiosk app does not allow them to tap the X to remove a barcode (ID or book) if the wrong item was scanned. Accessit is aware of the issue, and developers are working on a fix. No timeline has been given. Until then, continue to use the workaround of tapping Close or clearing out the user to start again.
If you are experiencing other issues with the Kiosk, please see the links for additional information or place a BV Care ticket.
Troubleshooting Tips for Self-Check Kiosk
ALEC, eLearning Center
Accessit offers courses that dive deeper into additional features, including the Web App, Library Maps, and Visual Search. I will review the system to ensure all librarians have access to ALEC. If you are not set up with an ALEC account, you will notice an email confirmation show up in the next few days. Follow the steps in the email to confirm.

See the link below for a Google Sheet of iPad Apps available in Self Service. I did not go through every app - just the apps that would most likely be used in a library setting. On the spreadsheet, I note if it continues to work on the new iPads and any other information that might be helpful. It is in a draft format, but it will help us get started. You should have editable rights to this spreadsheet if you would like to add additional information (please do!).
In the next few weeks, we will be adding tips for using the apps with classes and highlighting some helpful apps for students to demonstrate their learning creatively.

We love to see the lessons the group is sharing and finding ways to embed our standards into the content areas. To store these items, we have a shared folder on Google Drive, ELEM LMC Curriculum Share. I added a new folder, Amplify. Feel free to share and store any lessons in this location.
*This shared folder has been around a while, so you may find dated information. Please feel free to move those items to the folder labeled, Archive. It will not delete the file in case someone needs it, but will help clean the drive.
